New paintings from Arlene

“Laura”

Meet Laura, the model for one of Arlene’s new paintings. When Arlene and her husband moved to the South Carolina Lowcountry, Laura became a special friend and an important part of their lives. But you won’t be able to purchase this painting. (Shh…spoiler alert…can you guess what this painting and the upcoming holidays have in common? Aw…the benefits of having a friend who is an artist.)

“Jerusalem”

Arlene created this painting as a donation to Congregation Beth Yam on Hilton Head Island. The painting will be auctioned off during the Light Up the Night dinner, dance and auction fundraiser to be held on March 28, 2015. For tickets and more information, click here.

Storm clouds loom over the city of Jerusalem and a rabbi raising the Torah. Arlene said the tumultuous sky represents the political unrest and general turmoil plaguing the region.
